The Fourth of July holiday is just around the corner!
I would be delighted if your holiday weekend plans included joining me in one of your local Fourth of July parades. I will be walking in five parades this year, so there are plenty of opportunities to join the Visclosky team and personally show your support.

Saturday, July 2nd:

Parade will start at 6: 30pm

Sunday, July 3rd:

Line up will start at 4pm
Columbus Park, 29th and Clay
Parade will start at 5pm

Monday, July 4th:

Line up will start at 9am
Mundell Field, Wisconsin Street
Parade will start at 10am

Portage:
Line up will start at 10am
Aylesworth Parking lot, Central Avenue
Parade will start at 11am

Crown Point:
Line up will start at 1pm
Taft Jr. High School, Main Street
Parade will start at 2pm

I need your help!  With the 2010 election fast approaching, I need you to display a Visclosky for Congress yard sign. Displaying a yard sign is easy.  Just click here and fill out the online form. Then, on Saturday, October 2, a volunteer will deliver your yard sign and place it on your property.  It costs nothing and is a great way to show your support for my campaign.

It’s been one and a half years since our nation’s worst financial crisis since the depression, and Americans continue to struggle in a sluggish and uncertain economy.

Many Northwest Indiana residents have voiced their anger at the unbridled greed and gross mismanagement of Wall Street financial institutions that led to our nation’s financial collapse and deep recession.  Asking taxpayers to pay for a $700 billion bailout for Wall Street still makes me mad.

I celebrated America's birthday by marching with volunteers in five parades across Northwest Indiana. We all had a great
time and I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the many people who joined me in the parades.
